FVCS Nordic Ski Club
The FVCS Nordic ski club is a continuing success. Thirty-three kids are learning to improve their classical and skate ski skills while having fun with friends and coaches. A very special thanks all of our volunteer coaches: Gabrielle Hoessle, Amy Stone, Briana Sullivan, Eileen Halverson, Max Durtschi, Heather Durtschi, Laurie VanHuis, and Selita Rios.
Shakespeare Club
“The play’s the thing”, wrote Shakespeare. We have 16 students who have taken this quote to heart, and are enrolled in a Shakespeare workshop. Volunteer instructors Shannon Earl and Cary Lukes are teaching about Shakespeare and his work through readings, games, and scene-play. The workshop will end with a public performance of part of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on the evening of April 26 – a perfect way to celebrate the Bard’s birthday!
