The visitors at AWCC weren’t the only ones up and about this past week. The center staff noticed a stirring in the brown bear enclosure early in the week, and by Wednesday, almost as if on cue for the crowds on their way, the three brown bears were up and about, and as entertaining as ever. “These bears awaken about one month prior to their wild counterparts”, said Mike Miller, Executive Director at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
